age/insurance?

im a n00b(first post). i have always been a subaru fan. but really fell in love when they introduced the WRX. i liked rallies and 4 doors, but you never thought of the 4 door as "performance". my first car was a 96 accord sedan, slow. back on topic. the WRX has been out for awhile now, and can be had for under $17,000 if you look and find the right deals. Im on a local kentuckiana (northern ky and southern in) web forum and the few people that have WRX's are mid 20's to early 30's. im 18. just wondering the age of everyone on here, i just feel like if i bought a WRX i'd be a young owner. also, what kind of insurance prices are you paying? i will be paying for this car myself, maybe help a little with insurance costs from parents, but not much. sorry if this is lenghty and you didn't want to read it but this information would help out a lot. thanks in advance.

insurance rates vary so much from person to person and agency and location and a hundred other factors.

the best way to figure it out is to just call up (or go online if you have that option) and request a quote to add or replace a wrx onto your policy. then also go online and get quotes from other companies. (progressive, geico, 21st, state farm, farmers, etc.)

that is going to be the best way to figure out what its going to cost. i personally have progressive and its real easy for me to go online and get quotes for different cars if i was to sell my current one and get soemthing else, in a few minutes i can have an idea of what 3 or 4 different cars would cost me.

I'm 20 and I'm getting butt f*cked by my insurance company (Geico). I pay $1544/6 months for a 1993 Impreza L and a 2001 Impreza RS. I hate insurance co's. Whatever you do... do not get pulled over or any accidents!!!! They hurt you for 3 years!!!

I have 4 speeding tickets and 2 at fault accidents, but my insurance company only knows about one ticket and one accident. TGF computer errors in my favor!

BTW... 18 is too young for a WRX IMO. Most 16-20 year old WRX drivers end up dead. It's a great car, but all Subarus are too. Start out with a '00-'01 Impreza 2.5 RS, those come in 4-door and they look better anyways. You don't need to start out with all that power anyways... Wait a few years and then get a new STi or something.

$260 for my 05 WRX and my wife's 02' beetle (non-turbo) from Allstate and I'm 23. Get married, that'll lower your insurance costs.

That's with 2 at fault accidents, 1 non-fault accident, and 7 speeding tickets. Insurance company knows about them all.
My insurance nearly doubled when I moved from Missouri to Texas, I guess it's correct when someone says, "Everything's bigger in Texas"

I'm 28 with no tickets or accidents and I pay about $121/month. AZ is a little better than most I think.
