whenever i turn on my ac, i hear a loud clicking coming from eitther the center console or the glovebox or somewhere in between...

it makes that noise whenever i turn on the AC... but not when i turn on just the air...


any ideas?

I had that problem too for a while, but it went away. Not sure what it was.

 

the clicking is from the mode control door closing when you select a/c operation and recerculation.also ou will hear a relay operating noise and sound from the compressor end plate make noise as it engages-all normal-no worries

 

AC pulley has a "dry clutch system" whenever you turn the AC on, the clutches engage making a clicking sound. Also, there is an AC relay that also clicks when you turb it on.
