What is the clicking noise when shifting gears?
I was wondering cuz i watched 2fast2furious and and the fast and furious and some cars when they shift gears had like this metal clinking noise. i was wondering if anyone knows what that is. i think it sounds cool and i didnt know if it was just sound effects or if this is really possible. What is going on behind the clinking?

Car Info: 1998 Subaru Legacy L 5-speed
sound fx. Some ferraris have a click from the metal gated shifter. Mitsubishis do not.

I heard the same thing on a WRX *which was abused* so I assume it would be a problem with the tranny...
