5mt tranny

Alright so ive heard all the negative feedback about the 5mt tranny. How many of you guys with your WRX havent had any tranny problems?

Power dosnt matter that much. Driver style is a big deal. If you are nice to your tranny, your tranny will be nice to your wallet. If you dont power shift or launch hard alot your tranny will be fine.

Mines been good so far. Yes its notchy and yes it doesn't enjoy engaging reverse (jeez, just add a synchro Subaru!) but I also think most of the problems have been with cars that have been modified, or by folks who haven't fully mastered manual transmissions.
