2011 wrx upgrade?

I just bought a 2011 wrx and I was wondering what would be the cheapest and easiest way for me to convert it to stage 1. I already know all about Cobb and all the stages I was just wondering if anyone had any extra ideas. I'm willing to do a little work on my own as long as it's simple and I couldn't possibly damage the car in any way.
Thanks guys!

Stage one is only a tune, which can be done either AccessPort or opensource. I lucked out and got my v2 AP sub-003 and Cobb SF intake for $450 because the seller needed the money for a V3.

Cheapest would probably be a tactrix cable and torqued performance map? Don't quote me on that.

My '13 is stage 1 right now with the torqued performance map, Cobb SF intake, and Magnaflow catback. It's a little faster and makes woosh noises because of the intake.

My advice? Just buy an Invidia catless downpipe and flash the TP stage 2 map with a Tactrix cable.

If you enjoy playing with your car (getting into boost) definitely get the Stage 1 map. Its smooths out your fuel curve and gives you a bit more boost. Basically its safer. The stock map from factory runs lean at high rpm, which makes you engine run hot. I have an 08 wrx, flashed XPT stage 1 at 45,000 miles and am now at 116,000 with no issues. Made a big difference, especially 5th gear pulls. Just Flashed a buddies '12 wrx with Torqued Performance stage 1, also very nice.
The cheapest way to flash stage 1 if you already have a laptop is with a Tactrix cable. There is lots of info online about how to do this.
The easiest way would be with a Cobb Access port or to take it in and get dyno tuned somewhere. But expensive.
Hope this helps.

I run a Torqued Performance Stage 1 Tune via Tactrix Cable, a Perrin Panel Filter and a STI midpipe with Nameless Axleback and made much smoother boost than the stock map Very happy with the setup, cant wait to go stage 2.
