I'm looking at buying a 2002 wrx with 89,000 miles for $9500. Does that sound right? What should I be concerned about? He says he did his own maintenance on it and installed an aftermarket exhaust with an up pipe, down pipe, and cat back. Feels pretty solid but I've never owned a wrx before.

 

If it has clean title, sounds about right.

 

See if he has the stock DP for smog purposes.

Any other aftermarket parts?

You will need to do the 105k service soon (timing belt, water pump, tensioners, ect).

 

But nothing I should check into as far as buying the car? Like to be concerned about? The title is squeaky clean.

 

Just take it to a trusted mechanic (preferably one that knows subarus) and get a pre purchase inspection.
