Question '02 Stage IV

All,
Been waiting for my daily driver to go, and I'm nearly there. I located a Stage IV '02 WRX in my area, curious what you guys thing of what he's done. Here's the description:

2002 Subaru Impreza WRX 5spd Sedan, world rally blue! Meticulously maintained, stage IV upgrades (turbo/front mount intercooler/fuel injectors/fuel pump/engine management/3" turboback exhaust/intake/blowoff valve), water pump & timing belt recently replaced, has upgraded suspension/brakes and a mp3 cd player w/ subwoofers, limo tinted glass, 17" mille miglia wheels. Professionally tuned, but never tracked. Too many upgrades to list. Extremely reliable, 2nd owner, nearly mint condition car. Needs nothing but a driver, STI *KILLER* at a much cheaper pricetag, only selling to purchase a house. Comes with factory wheels as well. Turnkey solution for a prospecting WRX owner. Fuel system and intercooler/ecu could support a much larger turbo, but is running a modest IHI VF30 turbo not to sacrifice reliability. Stored winters, very clean. Nothing short of a tastefully modified vehicle, A/C blows cold.

He had the fuel pump and injectors swapped -walbro 255 pump with siemans injectors - had the package tuned, supposedly more cc's out cyl's 3 & 4. Replaced timing belt and water pump. 80,000mi. for 15k.

What do you guys think? I plan on using it as my daily driver, maybe even sell the '68 Camaro SS. Will the Stage IV compromise drivability in colder MI weather?

thanks to all for responses.

Only 15K with those mods and he says it's reliable. Sounds good to me, go look at it.

You need to jump on that man. That thing is clean as hell and done with quality parts. A sleeper if I ever saw one.

$15k.

Test driving after work today. Hoping I don't pick up on anything wrong...

Anything you guys know to look for with turbos or wrx's in general?

I'm already a car guy. fluids, tires, obvious cracks, material stress, wear, etc these things I'm already looking for.

Congrats, the only thing to look out for is the transmission... they are known for being frail, so in summary, they cannot take any abuse... a hard shift into 2nd could end up breaking the gear... look to upgrading to RA gearsets, or just be tame with it... let the clutch take the abuse... i wouldnt pound on it between shifts. but thats pretty much it, enjoy!

thanks!

Trans seemed in good health. I'm hoping in a couple of years to upgrade to an STi drive train.
