Ok, I tried this thread in another forum and came up empty handed. Now i'll try my luck here.
I'm 18 years old and going to be going to college. I have a Job and I also will be commuting to and from school this year.
After much debate on which type of car to get I am sold on the WRX, all I have not done yet is drive one. But im looking to you guys for more info.
Is it a reliable car, will it meet the daily needs and also keep my hour and a half commute enjoyable?
Yes, I know that there are many other things that I could spend my money on. Some people sports are their thing, others its computers and gadgets. Mine is cars so thats the situation there.
Any info from you WRX drivers would be very helpful. Thanks

go take one for a test drive and I think yu'll have your answer...that's what comletely hooked me (of course it wasn't a WRX, it was a 98 RS 2.5). I saw it, was admiring it, the salesman asked if I wanted to try it out...the price was a little more than I wanted to spend on a replacement for my car that had just gotten totaled in an accident (completely other person's fault/liability)...I said what the hell... and FELL IN LOVE.....and bought it!!!
Yeah, it's a bummer to have to make payments now (my other was paid for)... but it's well worth it!!!
I have to commute about an hour (each way) every day and it definately makes the drive much more bareable. My only concern is that the miles are staring to add up very quickly... started at 38K last July and I'm up to nearly 50K!!!! Oh well, hopefully it will just keep going and going and going....
my advice.....GO FOR IT!!!!!

Drive both and weigh your options. The WRX is a very fine car.
