Windshield fogging/condensation problem

I went for a drive last night (05 wrx wagon). The temperature was 72, the dew point was 71 and the humidity 97%. It wasn't foggy. But the inside of the windshield started fogging up and I had to turn on A/C defrost to clear it up. Then with the A/C on, moisture condensed on the outside of the windshield so much I had to use the wipers. I've had this problem multiple times in the wrx but not in other cars (that I recall) at least not to this degree. I think it's because of the heat the hood scoop throws off.

Is there anything I can do to alleviate this problem? Is it the hood scoop? Would a FMIC take care of it? Am I breathing too heavy or what?

Some people have said this is due to the thin cheap oem glass subaru uses for our windows.

you can buy a chemical that you apply to the inside of your windows to prevent this. Ive seen it at target befor ebut cant remember the name of it and im not really sure if it even works.
