If you go back up in the thread you will see I burned a valve and replaced the motor at 163,000, apart from that major incident, its just been this and that, pretty much normal wear and tear, a wheel bearing here, steering rack there....
the 50K on this motor has been pretty uneventful, it consumes a bit more oil than the original motor did.
And that's been a lot of really hard miles, while the stock suspension is still holding things in place, it is past time to replace/upgrade there, and the car is starting to creak and rattle- all over, more than it used to....

What color is it?
Even though it's seeing less miles these days, my brother's '02 WRX 4EAT has passed 170k. Like psoper, my brother's engine burned a valve (cylinder 3) at 149,000 miles. Up until that point it never consumed a drop of oil, didn't seem to have any problems. It would routinely see 24mpg city/highway and 26-28mpg 90%-100% freeway.
Other than than that catastrophic failure (and the loss of both front wheel bearings/axles @ ~100k), it's been good. The tranny still seems to be going strong, the turbo is still kicking. There are a few annoying rattles that we should probably try to fix, and the dash cupholder likes to squeak.
Edit: Oh, and his second radiator has recently sprung a leak. That makes two in the year since getting the new motor.

Bought a 02 automatic in august of 05. It had 36.000 miles on it. Heard a ticking sound for a few months but did not think anything of it. Bad idea...... Now, spun a rod or cam shaft at 58,000 and now have to replace engine. Never used the car for racing, but then again don't know what the previous owners did to it. Hope the powertrain warranty will cover it since it has not been 5 years or 60.000 miles. How much would the engine run if not covered? Love the car though....

This car has made 2 trips to Colorado, 2 trips to Alaska, a couple of trips to BC, (in addition to the Alaska runs) I can't even begin to count how many trips down to Lancaster/Palmdale, but figure 3-4 times per year there, same with Laughlin NV, at least one trip to Montana per year, (this year 4), usually 4 trips or more to Yreka per year (well, maybe not this year) and LOTs of trips to Tahoe/Kirkwood.
Then there are those weekends where there's no destination, but I'll go out and log a thousand + miles in a couple days just exploring.
Here's today's odo reading (I think the thread title needs an update);

112k+
Original owner, bough July of 02 in Atlanta. Ive done all the regular maintaince myself, with near zero major maintaince issues as of yet. It did have a run in with a power transformer that caused quite a bit of damage but that all got replaced by the insurance company and have had no real after effects because of it. I had the front wheel bearings and outer tie rod ends replaced. But next weekend its time for timing belt, crank and cam seals, water pump, oil pump, and all the other little things involved with that. Exedy OEM clutch. Just gonna resurface the stock flywheel i hope. Next go round is suspension.

Repairs:
Alternator, wheel bearings, radiator
PM:
Plugs, hoses, timing belts [2], water pump, battery, clutch-105k on first-, 2nd clutch going strong, tires, struts.
I am looking to sell my long runner. I am sure some guy that wants a car with little abuse, but long commutes and a few drives up Hwy 1 would be interested.
