for ten you can score a high mile WRX or a real nice 2000 RS. what kind of queations do you have about them?
what type of driving will you use it for?

Very nice SRT! It sucks that you have to get rid of it.
I don't think you'll find a very nice WRX for $10,000, but that's my opinion. Have you considered selling your SRT, and then looking for a used one, that is, if you're happy with your SRT?
Welcome to the forum, BTW.

I agree that the SRT crowd for the most part are uh...well....a bunch of little ricer thuglets, but don't stereotype all of them. I know some cool SRT owners, albeit not many, but they won't even hang out with their fellow SRT brethren.

im mainly going for a daily driver for right now. i have a 7month old daughter, buying a house, and i dont have a winter car...so i figure id go w/ a good reliable car for the winter..
im looking for just a stock one. nothing done to it. ive seen a couple for a lil over 10,xxx. but my budget is limiting me to around 13,xxx max. i love my srt4.
my buddy had an STI and i love the way the cars sound w/ a turbo back exhaust. and another buddy (fellow srt4 owner) is prolly buyin a 06 STI..
maybe in a yr or so ill upgrade to a used STI. but for now a stock one w/ like 70,xxx miles will do just fine.

yeah ok ok i should change my statement! i know of ONE cool srt-4 owner he's a good friend of mine and has el mucho respect for subys so thats cool, i'm basically sayin everyone one (it seems like) wants to race anything that pulls up next to them. and if you try to talk to them they're like "who are you to talk to me?? i drive a neon (my little translation there) so back off! lol i don't know if i run into any cool one's on the road i'll write a new post about it.
i don't like stereotypes myself i'm just tellin ya my experiance with them

I was driving my Camaro a while back and some *** started revving on me and there was a cop like 2 cars back behind him. I guess he didn't check his rearview. So, I revved back. The light turned green and he took off in a haze of a little tire squeak and I turned off. I saw the cop fly up the other lane with the cherries ablazin'. LOL!

Just as long as you don't beat on it a wrx will last a very long time, there is quite a few on these boards that i've seen have well past 100k and still running strong despite being moderately modded.
since the car will be awd... it'll be great for the winters w/ the right tires, just don't just go trying to burn rubber like you could in a fwd or rwd car or you might run into problems.

Since you seem to be transitioning into the family man, why don't you check out the wrx wagon's?

if your starting a family i recomend a WRX 02/03 wagon. for kids up to 8 ish the back seat is big enough, and it can serve the purpose of a mini van and a hot rod. not to mention the wagons used go for 2 soem times 3-4 thousand $$$ cheeper then the 4 door counterpart.

HAHA yeah thats the best i had a civic once do that do me but the dumbass didn't notice the 5-0 in front of him like 50yards away so i rev'd with him then let him spin his 15" ricer wheels and whachted in laughter as the cop popped a u turn and pulled him over. as i passed him i just wavied! it was great! the sad thing is i totally could have wasted him, it was also raining so even if he by chance did have stuff under the hood, traction would have been on my side! but it was more satisfying see the cop do his thang
