Does anyone know the total production number for 2005 STi?

Reason i am asking is because i am curious as to what the last 6 digits of my 17 digits vin number means?

i.e.: vin# JF1-GD7-xxxxx-xxxxxx, i know the last 6 digits means Sequential production number, but what does that mean?

Sequential production number in terms of :

a) xxxxxx out of "?" number of total production for the Impreza line?
b) xxxxxx out of "?" number of total production for the Impreza WRX STi model only?
c) xxxxxx out of "?" number of total production for the Impreza line in the whole world? or North America only? etc....
d) another meaning?

Any help would be much appreciated... Thanks!

From reading this, I would assume that the 'Manufacture number' (i.e., last 6 digits) would be sequential for the model/type noted earlier in the VIN.

according to this, "500001" represents the vin for 4 door sedan

so in this case vin #: jf1-gd2-9612g-500555,

"500555" = ? number from the assembly

i am guessing this impreza is number 554 off the assembly line
(500555 - 500001 = 554)? ?

 

Makes sense to me.....
