ok so im wondering what the deal is.. i Had an 05 for about a year and a half and recently traded it in for an OBP 07 STi and love it, but thats besides the point lol. Well i had a friend in the car and we were goin to d1 with some friends. when i decided i wanted to see what kind of speed i could reach and how fast i could do it.. well needless to say i had a turbo back exhaust turboXS 4'' DP combined with the HKS Carbon/Ti catback. I had stock intake but a walbro fuel pump for safety. I unfortenatly did not have any sort of EM so i would occasionally run into CEL's haha for boost creep issues. Well i was able to max 168 before i hit fuel cut but whats so funny is i was only at half throttle in 4th gear all the way through to 6th gear cuz i would have ran into CEL's even quicker with fool boost @ full throttle. Now is it the stock ecu that triggers the speed limiter or does it actually recognized the better air flow with light mods that i had done to it..

I would think it is 145 then as I got mine up to about 137 stock and decided to bring it back down before either the Cops showed up or I blew a tire (I didn't trust the stock RE92's for those kind of speeds). The car was still pulling (although you could tell the TD04 was running out of steam), but I did not hit any fuel cuts at 137.

I made this video last weekend to show you the Speed Limiter of an 04 STI. I did this on the autobahn so it's legal however not very safe holding my camcorder at these speeds:

Please get a camera mount. Driving at that speed with one hand is not too smart.

Wow. Things really must have changed over there. It used to be that (on the highway at least) as long as you were moving with the flow of traffic and not making an *** of yourself you were ok. Here in Hawaii thankfully we have limited places for the motorcycle cops to sit - well, they're too lazy to think up new ones that might not be under shade.
