Should I tune my 02 bugeye??!
I have a bone stock bugeye. I had my mechanic install a perrin inlet, aps intake, and cobb turbo back exhaust.
Do I need him to open source my car or no? I'm not gonna get the accesport.

Everyone is gonna say you need a tune, however the bugeye is the only wrx where you won't ruin your engine running a bit lean.I'm sure I'll get flack for this opinion, but Ive got a buddy who beats his 02 (170xxx ) Turbo back and intake.
A tune would be ideal, but if you can't afford it, I wouldn't worry too much.
Edit: I have no idea about the inlet... missed that part.

Bugeye wrxs have the closest to a JDM ecu which is far more adaptive than any other ECUs in the states.
You'll be fine. But a tune would make the car run better.
