Should I stay or should I go
I'm a huge fan of the subaru impreza, it's the only car I ever wanted. While I was in college I bought a 1995 subaru impreza as my car to get me around. Now that I've graduated and am in a position were I have a bit more money I was going to start fixing the car up. It has a few engine issues, minor cosmetic damage, the most expensive thing I'd like to do is switch it from an automatic to a manual. While thinking of the cost of repair I began to wonder should I try fixing this car up or start saving to get another impreza. What do you all think.

I'd just fix it up to the point where it can be a reliable daily driver. Then I would save up and buy a new or newer impreza or other car you want.

Hi! If I may chime in. Are you able to do the work yourself? Parts and labor could run pretty high if you are going to pay someone else to do it. Sounds like possibly a new engine or rebuild? Auto to manual can get tricky, too. Could also mean a lot of down time. Are you really attached to your 1995 Subaru? If not, treasure the memories and apply your funds to maybe a '99-'01 2.5RS or early model WRX! On the flip side, a sleeper '95 Impreza with EJ20 swap would be very cool! Good luck!
