I believe that on the blue, silver and white cars you can get the painted pieces as an option. I know that my '03 had black ones, but they're pretty cheap to get painted ($150).

You can get it installed from the dealer as an option, I think, but most people will buy them after and install them. It is an OEM part. That's what I did. Or you can take them somewhere and have them paint them. I know some people have done that.

When you have a black car, the black moulding is a bit less noticeable. Try having any other color WRX - you notice the black moulding. Trust me.
