hey guys.......ive noticed lately that my wrx is making a wierd noise at certain throttle positions..........the turbo seems to be spooling fine, making its normal noise........but there is a different noise thats sort of a hissing sound, it kinda souns like the noise a cold air intake makes on a n/a car, that sucking sound.......my question is, is this normal? ive only had the car for a couple of weeks, and i just noticed it today, but maybe its just a normal sound.....anyway, thanks in advance

Do you hear it only when you give it gas? If so, its the air passing through the intercooler. You should hear it everytime there is positive boost.

 

yes it is only under accerleration.............that makes sense....thanks a lot.
