Car Info: Mustang (GF is buying an STi)
Newbie
Hey guys, I just registered because my girlfriend is in the process of buying an 05 STi. She's been around me and my buddies with the mustangs, and all of us are modded. So you will be getting quite a few questions from me and maybe her.
I'll admit that I don't know much about the cars other than their general capabilities stock.
So that was my introduction, I'll start cruisin the forum and look forward to getting to know the cars and the enthusiasts a little better.
Mike.

Hmmm, well 4 doors, 300hp that about sums up what startecd the interest.
We drove an Evo 9 first, then drove a new Sti. The STi was just a better car. We couldn't swing the payments on a new one so we found an 05.
It's black with the gold wheels. First couple mods will probably to paint the wheels black and dump the wing.
I won't post up about the wing until we actually finalize the purchase.

Welcome to the site.
FYI - the gold wheels are a hot item on STi's. You would be better off selling them (you can get anywhere from $900-$1500 depending on tires and condition) and buying a different set of black wheels if that's what you really want.
And the wing is held on by something like 245 bolts (more like 18
), so it's better to find someone who wants an STi wing and that has the same color car, and trading trunks with them (just don't forget to also swap tension springs and lock cores).

I was thinking the same thing on both, but it will be her DD, so being without a truck while doing a swap with someone out of town isn't an option. Same with the wheels. But we'll get it figured out I'm sure.
