New wheels?? Help!
So lately I've been reading way too many threads on buying new wheels for my 2011 wrx but have still only limited answers. I wanna go to a 18" rim so I understand that on stock suspension it would be fine to go with a 38 offset.
But I still have no clue if I can go wider and get a wider tire and if that's even logical.
I really want to accent the wide fenders and I was looking at a wheel something like xxr 527's but all the wheel threads I looked at people were buying expensive wheels and sadly I can't do that.
So I guess my question is what is the best, most reliable, good looking but most importantly affordable wheel that I can easily fit on the car and match with a wide tire? And if you could include the specs.
Thanks guys this would really help!

I also have a 2011 WRX, and just got my 2nd set of aftermarkt wheels. If you are planning on doing any Suspension mods in the future such as Springs or Coils, I would go 18X9 or 9.5 at the most. depending on offset and tire size you might need some fender rolling. Its up to you on the stance you are going for. I went 18X9 +42. Check out the TOOLS/ Tire Rim Calulater function at the top of this page. Its very helpful.
As far as Brands, all depends on budget XXR, TSW, Rota, Miro, are all good for your money. Remember you need 5x100 bolt patten.

XXRs are incredibly poor quality wheels. I wouldn't put them on a 25 year old beater. The cheapest brand I'd personally invest anything in would be Rota. Enkeis aren't much more.
