New Subaru cars......
Here's an interesting one.
Wife brought me back some pamphlets on this "thing" from Subaru......

http://www.subaru.co.jp/r1/
(this is what I want you all to look at....)
http://www.subaru.co.jp/r1/exterior/01/index.html
(click on one of the cars, this should start a 360 tour.)
You can get the feeling that they are indeed serious about the front end standardization.....
Keep in mind that this car will almost NEVER see US shores and is perfect for the roads in Japan.
Still don't want to see this incarnation of the Subaru nose make it onto the Legacy or Impreza.....

It's a commute car, period. The styling won't make it to the Impreza as the front end setups are completely different. Just relax and start worrying in 2007.

heres some heads up for you guys who love the current front end design... a couple of months ago i did a survey for Subaru of America(for dealers only) in regards to our opinions of Subaru heading towards a "more upscale" approach. apparantly since Subaru does not really have a budget car it only makes sense. as much as some of us hate it... that alfa/peugeot style front end may seem to be a reality... as for the R1... thats something that will most likely stay in Japan as their market calls for that.
