welcome. I hope you enjoy your stay here. I'm moving this to the general forum, as its a more appropiate forum then the car lounge.
For all your questions, ask away, do a search, or both. See you around.

Welcome, Operator05.
General tips on the forum - There is a TON of information here. Chances are, someone else has gone through what you are experiencing/contemplating. Search the posts to learn from everyone else.
WRX Tips -
Do NOT Buy - Manual Boost Controller, Air Intake
DO Buy - Uppipe, Turbo-back exhaust (TBE) (Helix is a good source for both of these), Engine Management (Cobb, EcuTek), Better tires
WHERE to Buy - I am personally a fan of gruppe-s. They seem to have the lowest prices around.
Do your own work. It's cheaper and if something breaks you will have a much better idea of what could have gone wrong.
You can download all of the service manuals from
http://techinfo.subaru.com
for about $20. That is a GREAT deal. And it's 100% legal *cough* ebay *cough*
Finally, the dancing banana is your friend.

Howdy!
and pyromaniac I think you need to add a 6th comandment with something along the lines of doing a search before you post to make sure it hasn't been posted a zillion times before.
ditto on the T-shirts
