Hey folks, I just picked up my new 03 2.5 RS this weekend, and I gotta say that I love the car. I stumbled across these forums, and it looked like a great place to get my questions answered. Probably some of these have been answered before, so try to go easy on the flames Anyways, I test drove a WRX and I loved it, but the payments for insurance and the extra sticker price were a little too much for me to afford. However, I was thinking about doing some mods possibly to the engine and/or exhaust of my RS to give it a little extra punch. This is a brand-new car though and I don't want to do anything which will void my warranty yet, which probably severely limits my options. I'm also changing out the factory stereo system in it, and replacing it with much of the same equipment from my prevoius car (a 98 Hyundai Accent). I was fortunate that both cars have the same size speaker cutouts so I can use the aftermarket speakers from my old car. My 15" subwoofer, however, will not fit into the trunk. Just wondering what any of you guys may have put in there and how it all sounds. Thanks for your help folks!

 

first get the dealer upgrade list. short throw shifter, suspension stuff, that sort of thing. once you go for the intake, heads and the hard core mechanical sh$t your warrenty is done. get the exhaust and stuff from a dealer also. hell, pay them to put it on. save all your documetation. sell the car in 3 years add some $$$$$ for the mods and get a sti. happy modding.
