there are different schools of thought on how to break in this motor and performance motors in general.

Bottom line is that if you go by what the dealership/manual says...you'll be fine.

I hold to the school of thought that you keep that think nice and easy under 4k rpms for 98% of the first 1000 miles but it is healthy for the car to see higher rpm's after 500 miles.....not red line but higher rpms for short amount of times. Helps seat the seals.

That's what I did....

That's what I did....
even before the first 500 miles...go above 4k ...especially in the first twenty miles....just small% of the break in time
