Frequent oil changes are a must. You need to remember that during break in, the rings and seals are seating together. Until that happens alot of blow by and gases get into your oil. I remember my first 1000 mi oil change and my oil was filthy. I would also drain out the trans and rear diff. Replace them with synthetic. A GOOD SYNTHETIC. I went with redline, and highly reccomend it. Alot of guys say to stay away from synthetic in your engine till around 4000 mi.

Hm, my car is at 1600k and i am not pushing it above 4000rpm. When i got my car i was told by the dealership NOT to drive above 4500rpm. Because it will damage the effect of your turbo in the long run. He said yup there might be no problem in the first two years, but you will have a lot of problems later then. That's why he said keep it under 4000rpm as much as possible even though 4500rpm was what it says. Also DO NOT get an oil change until 6000k, read the manual. Because they put in some kinda stuff in your first engine oil that helps the breaking-in process. If you get an oil change too soon and lose that chemical, it will affect your fuel efficiency. I had that problem with my bro's RSX because everyone told him to get an oil change at 600k and then 2000k, but his fuel efficiency sux now. He only have around 380km from a full tank.
