Hey, I just saw this thread.
Too bad you guys are all the way in Tampa, I was hoping when this car is done/in progress we can check it out. Anyways, is this car mainly for show or race? The reason I ask is because setting up a car usually means one or the other. I suggest doing the latter since show queens usually get a different crowd (ricers) coverage than race cars in things like time trials. As we know, in the Subaru community recently, many of the bigger vendors are getting into time trials ie. crawford, GST, FIA, Cobb, and other vendors that run Subaru's in the time trials. If we were to get real coverage, build a car and find a drive that will BEAT each of these teams, and I guarantee you that you will have more traffic, ESPECIALLY if it's under the I-Club name. It seems like your funds are adequate since I see the plans you guys are making. But building a car and finding a driver that can compete with those guys won't be easy. If done though, it will be amazing.

The main purpose for the car is to build a multi use STI. Meaning a DE (road circuit), AutoX, and daily driver. As for time trails, I may enter the car but there's a fine line when you start doing TT. Brakes need to be more aggressive, safety concerns (roll bar or cage) need to be thought through, etc. I just want this car to be something usable for most conditions. Plus it would be nice to have at least 1 car with a full interior.

whoops, didn't see the discussion on a track car. Awesome. Should definitely run in the Time Trials, relatively cheap to enter..

So many different ideas floating around. Hard to cast my vote in any which direction, all ideas seem interesting and very baller indeed. Though I do love my GC8's. Zerosports or JUN gc8 would be interesting

The car will be traveling between CA and MD. Also it will be a the tuner shootout in late September.

Todays the day for the GC. If everything goes as planned, we will be picking it up. The car is going to be a straight track ****. Plans are to put a wrx or v5-6 sti engine in and then go for bang for the buck upgrades to get it track worthy. To that end, we invite suggestions
On the 06 STI, we have two other options to think about. Do a s204 or Spec C RA-R replica including performance bits. I am bigger on the RA-R as its actually faster. That and the S204 seats are like 3k each or something silly
