i wasn't willing to pay more than $320 a month max so i saved all i could for a year and put 1/2 down. my payments are 288.72 a month and the interest rate sux.

im in a position to dump extra on every payment now so she'll be paid off sooner than the term of the loan

if im gonna spend lots of $$ it'll be on something i get a return on like a house or even better a retirement plan.

It would depend on your income to debt ratio. You don't want to end up living by whats called car poor where you have no money but you have a nice car. Personally I'd rather put my money into an IRA or a mortgage on a house.

yeah i pay just over 500 a month for mine, thats with no down payment and getting the car for 200 above INVOICE. and a good interest rate. but once again i agree with Fred, i wouldn't recommend it. not to mention i am 21 and my insurance would have been 2500 to 3000 every 6 months, if the car was under my name. that is with no tickets or anything on my license. good thing my dad let me put it on his insurance, not its like 700 every 6 months. thank god for the parental unit!
