How much would you spend on a bed? We just spent a rediculous amount of $$$ yesterday on a new bed. My wife really wanted it and, to be honest, so did I. I think you really can't put a price on a good night's sleep. People spend a third of their lives in bed.
Granted, it is a Cal King... but still.

If you thought the bed was expensive, just wait until you go to buy sheets.

Yea, Money shouldn't be a factor when purchasing a bed. I remember when I had my crappy king size bed. It was soo old that I would wake up tired and sleepy.
When I got my Sealy(sp?) full size bed, I was waking up relaxed and ready to go. It provided more support and had a firm feeling.

somebody got us 1000 thread count sheets as a wedding gift. i know i'm gonna sound like a totaly pansy, but they are awesome. i don't think i could ever buy a set of lower count sheets again.
I just got a Spring Air Queen size mattress. It needs a little break'n in, but I'm hopeing it will be comfy in a little while. It's got the euro pillow top. I paid $630 total for the set at JCPenny's.

For me, the key was finding one that doesn't squeek too loud as my room is adjacent to my sons room... He doesn't need to know what that is all about for a couple of years...
