AUDT: How much would you spend...
Simple survey question. No particular reason.
Scenario: You have a Subaru between $12-18k (used WRX range). What is your top-of-mind (first thing that comes to mind) max amount you would be willing to spend upgrading/modifying your Subaru over the lifetime of the car? This is an amount that does not include the initial cost of the car, repairs, and cost of maintenance (gas, oil, 30/60/90k service, tires, etc.). This is also under the assumption you have disposable income, but are not filthy rich.
Simply put, at what dollar amount for upgrades and modifications do you say "no more."
Just curious. Please ask any questions and I can clarify the scenario.
-Kevin
Edit: I chose the used WRX because I thought it would be a good middle ground for all I-Club members. Trying to establish a reasonable control. Obviously... if you drive an older car like me, you would be far less likely to drop $10k into it than you would if you owned an STi.

Yeah
Would want to, and have are two different things...
I also take it one year at a time, and can't plan ahead for the lifetime of the car (depends on how much money I come across in that time!)

I usually set a budget to match how much I originally paid for the car. If it was real cheap, then obviously the budget can go over. But if I paid 15K, Id spend about the same. But knowing me, Id get a lot more parts out of the 15k I would be spending.
