I met this guy from import tuner magazine a week or so ago. He had a WRX with a STI motor swap and 6 speed tranny. From what he said ,something like 370 hp, the bigger displacement motor is where it is at. It's like my pops used to tell me, you can't make a small block chevy a big block chevy boy. If you want to go really fast, go big to start with. Plus if you commute, the six speeder will do you right.

STi ...theres no replacement for displacement...except forced induction...with the STi you get both...2.5L is great if you can afford it...you get more power stock and much more power with a few basic bolt ons...teh IHI vf30 is good for 350 HP

they arent importing many this year so i think its gonna be a while before they are available near invoice

STi dealers are now selling for MSRP most places...and in rare cases depending on where you live you may find one for less than MSRP
