Hi I'm a new member
Hi all,
I am new to the Subaru world.I have not got one yet but I am very close.I have been a Nissan nut for some time and will always have one in my lineup.I just sold my 1974 corvette Stingray 454 4-speed and need a new toy.I want an AWD turbo 4 door car.My plan is to sell my 2k2 Spec V and get a STI.I have checked into the STI and even got to drive one.I also drove an EVO VIII.Of the two I like the Subaru better. My choice is a Black w/ gunmetal BBS's.Well Now I need to find a WRX board to hang out on and get information.I did a search here and came up empty so Ill ask...
Do any of you know of a Turbo Timer that will plug into the stock harnes on the STI?I found a few for the EVO but hav not had any luck on the STI.Any help would be nice
Thanks
BTW:
Sorry for the long newby post.

hi new member, according to subaru, there is no need for a turbo timer. some people still prefer to run one, other's say that b/c of subaru's lack of endorsement they feel comfortable just taking it easy the last 1 or 2 miles of driving and maybe letting the engine idle 30-60 seconds before shutting it off. this is the practice i follow. but, i do take one more step beyond this. i do a little dance outside my left rear passenger door. so far so good.

My primary reason for getting th TT was in the place of a boos guage.I can get an aftermarket TT instead of the OEM boost guage and save some $$$ not to mention it is much easier to see while driving.Saving the Turbo is a plus even though I don't think it's that big of a factor.
