help with engine problem

Hey guys need some help, just after Christmas I was driving from northern cali to los angeles and while driving all of a sudden I started to feel vibration and the engine noise changed, I pulled over and the vibration was coming from the engine it was shaking a lot. I managed to get to los angeles but the engine shaking continued the engine noise is still very different and it feels weak like it does not have the power it usually does. The engine light came on and I got the following codes P0301, P0302, P0303 and P0304 which apparently are piston misfire for all pistons. Any idea what could have happened?

Go get compression test. Could be as simple as ignition problem, could be as bad as engine failure. Take it to a shop.

Any ideas what could have caused this? The engine turns on and runs it's just weak sounds like the timing is bad and it's something that affected all four cylinders.

if im correct I believe it is timing, if you jumped a tooth then that would very much effect the power of the vehicle and piston misfires, also explains why the engine would shake. I hope that helps

I agree with what JohnDaBrit posted in the other thread even though you are getting the code for all cylinders it may be one bad cylinder affecting the others.

Like he said doing the coil and plug part will help to eliminate an ignition problem from there you move onto injectors.

If it was my car I would immediately take it to a shop for a leak down test, but I tend to be a little ****.

I reset the engine codes and restarted the engine after a while I got one code for cylinder #3, so it looks like this cylinder could be causing the problem. I unplugged the coil and made no difference but I removed it attached a spark plug and it did spark, what else can it be?
