Which Gauge to get?
Well seeing how this applies to every category in general i put in the 'general forum'
Im thinking about getting a autometer bezel seen here: http://www.subarustore.com/auinclbetw.html and need to know what other gauge to get?
I have a 4eat and was thinking about tranny oil temp gauge. either that or a EGT gauge.
Can someone point me into the right direction for the tranny gauges? Is the oil temp gauge the same thing?
thanks eric

If I were tuning a car myself I'd get the EGT gauge, otherwise I'd go with the tranny fluid temp gauge on a 4EAT. As other mods increase engine torque, that fluid will really heat up fast during hard acceleration. The temp gauge will help determine whether a transmission oil cooler is necessary at higher engine output levels.
The only concern I would have is where to mount the sending unit. Traditionally the transmission fluid pan is the best place.
