A Few Quick Questions...
To begin with, I am a new WRX owner and am trying to learn as much about this car as I can. These forums have been an awesome help. I do have a few questions that maybe someone can help me out with. First of all, someone told me that you should let the car run for a few minutes after a short drive...something about letting the turbo or the oil cool down. Has anyone heard anything about this? Also, because I bought my 2002 WRX used, I am paranoid about every last thing that has to do with this car. What is the first indication that the clutch is beginning to go south? I have a hard time getting my WRX into first gear sometimes, but the clutch hasnt started to slip at all. Any ideas? When it does come time to get a new clutch, how much more will it cost to put in a performance clutch? Finally, if you had about 2-3 grand to play around with, what performance mods would you suggest? Any suggestions are appreciated!

Didn't you ask a similar question about modifications a couple of weeks ago? 
The suggestions already made are a good starting point. You can begin there.
Please post individual questions in appropriate i-Club technical sub-forums after you have searched for your topic. Give your thread a title that briefly summarizes your question or topic. The clutch wear question comes up once in a while so the logical place to search would be Impreza Transmission sub-forum or Warranty & Maintenance sub-forum.
When asking a technical question, please state the year and model of your car. The reason for this is that some WRX modifications no longer apply, such as catless uppipe replacements for the '06 WRX (already catless) and the '06 also has the larger 2.5 liter engine which means that turbo upgrades will be different than the MY2002 through 2005 models.
