The aussies have been dealing with JDM stuff for quite a while....Maybe they can be of more assistance with a JDM WRX than we can.

im 18 and got my wrx in march (yea i work hard for it)
i've never worked on a car and having worked on my own mods on it so far has helped me gain knowledge
im not super mechanic
i've done up and down pipe install, and tahts the only real engine mod i've done myself.
im very happy i did it successfully, and its great knowing i can help people out who have not.
so if cyou dould drop the attitude and maybe expect some noobs to be around, you would get more respect.
if i knew the answer to your question, i would help, but im a "noob" so i dont
having threads about oil changes and silencer removals help out those people who NEED help.
we aren't all mechanic's who own all sorts of cars and have been doin all our own mods to it since we got our first car.

Um Guys.. He made some real good points. It's sad that we have threads for doing something thats in the ownrers manual (especially since the idiot salesman that sold you the car for some ripoff price told you to read it cover to cover!)... But thats what learning is for. But seriously you guys have to admit, understand, and respect that there are people who are on a whole 'nother level from intakes exhaust and "Whats the best header". And who don't care about how many people get 0WN3D in threads or how many Dancing Banannas you can post...
He's rebuilt his own motor with his bare hands 3 times....
Can anyone else raise their hand on that one?
Or when yours blows do you need to post a thread for me to tell you wheres the best place to take it to?

I blew up my first engine, and re-built it in 1979 and I've blown up several and re-built several since. Nothing new.

I havnt checked the Transmission fourm but you might want to go there and first search for what you are looking for, and then post a forum if you cannot find it in a search. I'm a little confused on your question so i cant answer it at this moment.

let me apologize for the not so nice welcome you got and whatnot. i-club has a mixed crowd. there are a lot of noobs that ask your basic questions and whatnot that could easily be answered by a 2 minute search on the internet. thankfully one good thing is that most the people here don't flame those that keep asking the same questions over and over again. there are a lot of younger folks on here that don't know too much so they just talk about basic stuff. plus, with the wrx being in the us for only a few years now, there is a limited number of very knowledgable people when it comes to modyfing and understanding the ej20 engine and what its capable of. just ask the tough questions in the right areas and you will get a good response back. the general forum here is from what i have seen, a pretty young crowd. nothin really gets technical at all in here and half of it is people just trying to post ***** to get an avatar.
so please ignore the rude people above. i read your first post and didn't find anything offensive in it and didn't think you were out of line when posting it.
if you ever have any specific questions about subarus, let me know and i can help point you in the right direction. there are a lot of people that do know a lot, but they generally stick to one or 2 specific areas within i-club
