damaged wrx 03...need advice
So i got into an accident recently where thereis still dispute over who's fault it was and who's to blame. I figured the body work would be cheaper most likely to go with a new body kit. I compared a bunch of kits and compared re ordering stock parts and it seems it would be cheaper. I'm not all that bright though to any body kits though. It looks like on my car both left side wheel wells got destroyed as well as the front and rear bumper will need to be replaced. I've been looking at these kits and it seems most don't include all of the items i need. It looks like even maybe the fender flares need to be replaced. Also these kits mostly come with front lips that snap on to the stock bumpers; i am gonna need a full kit including bumper. Any advice out there? I'm still debating what to do. It seems like hunting down the best prices for the parts and everything is becoming more of a hassle than just getting the stock items...

I recommend getting the stock parts. I too had a wreck in my '03 WRX where I didn't know whose fault it was, the curb or mine. I did some good damage to my car as well, pushed a pin through the transmission, new left suspension, two new wheels, new front bumper and lights, and a new door. The suspension and transmission is what cost me a lot of money, the front bumper and door were pretty cheap. I looked at getting a body kit but the price and satisfaction of having my car look like it orginally did was worth it. You'll actually save money by getting factory parts, because if you don't like the body kit you buy your gonna have to buy some factory parts again. And take the advise my mechanic gave me, stay of the fences.
I was thinking of getting a body kit anyways. And i guess it would be the time to do it since its all screwed up as it is. Also not sure if i should ask my insurance adjustor about it.

most body kits only consists of a front lip, sideskirts, and rear lip, if u ask me, i think stock sideskirts with or without strakes (oem part), oem rear lip (looks real nice, not too ricey) and the front u can either purchase a jun replica bumper which is very nice or just buy an unpainted bumper for like 150 or so and get it painted then slap on a lip. hope this helps

i wouldn't ask my insurance adjustor, usually what happens is they send u a check and u have your own body shop do the work. just get the check, cash it, and buy whatever parts u want and pay for labor
