the 207 would be cool but it sounds like there is potential for lots of pain involved in the swap
Very true. Finding an EJ257 would be a lot easier, plus I can do a full 05+ interior swap that way (which I have the parts for just haven't done it yet)

I can just get the engine on a cradle, build it up before I drop it in. I have the space in the garage now for it. =)

Not to rain on this parade, but in what states of the union can you still swap a motor and then be able to get a clear certificate of emissions and title the car? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm really curious. A lot of motor-swapped cars here in Arizona cannot get titles and end up being track-only or show cars.

You guys actually have to title them? I've had a swapped RS before and it was still using a RS VIN ofcourse, but also had a state referree smog sticker saying it was a valid swap with it's own barcode/serial#

Reasons for why getting the EJ22T would be better?

I'd contact LIC and consult them as to which motor would be better and what the costs would be.

Then I'd take it to LIC for the swap (they are reintroducing engine swaps 1-1-09)
