Complete brake work on a 2000 Leg. Outback?
Complete brake work on a 2000 Leg. Outback?
I hope im posting this in the right forum. But i need some help, soon. My parents have a 2000 legacy outback, (as stated in the title) that needs a complete brake job. Pads and rotors all around. The dealership wanted something completely outragious, like $900!!! So i said screw it, i can do it for much cheaper. The problem is i have only worked on Hondas.
My question really is how difficult is it to do? are the Rotors pressed on to the hubs or are there any other things that would severely hinder my work here? On the Accord its bbasically, take off the wheel, take off the caliper, and then the rotor. Is there anythig tricky about doing this job? do i need any special tools?
Thanks in advance guys.

You'd be better off asking in the brake forum, but it's a pretty straight-forward job. You can get OEM rotors, pads, and all the required hardware at invoice prices from www.subaruwrxparts.com or www.subaruparts.com , among other places.

Pretty simple to do, search on our Scooby mods site, the brakes across the line are very similar. I have some pics and how too's there
