I'm looking for a recommendation for a loyal, trustworthy, no b.s., TRUE Subaru dealership in the Chicago area that will be selling the WRX STi come Spring. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to driving my STi alongside all of you...
go to dan wolf subaru in countryside. i just purchased my wrx there in december and they were very streight forward to deal with. after shoping aroung at all the dealers in the area i found that they had a good selection and were very willing to negociate. they come highly recomended. they did all that was possible to win my buisness. mike the sales manager was very cool and my salesman was nothing but honist whith me. ask for Joe Zyed, the salesman. gerold subaru in napperville was not willing to budge at all on price, they did not seem like they wanted to sell a car. plus dan wolf gave me a **** load for my trade in making the deal very sweet.
good luck with the car hunt

Mark Bass Subaru, excellent price on 03's.
The I was working with is Dale.
He said his sales manager was willing to do $500 UNDER invoice on
a new 03 WRX. Sounds sweet.
These guys seem to want to deal. And their paper work "fee" was under $60 which is fair. Overall great price.
Tell him Tome (toe-may) from the internet sent you.
I'm not positive what town they are in but they aren't too far from Chicago.

Have fun with your purchase.

What about Schaumburg?
When I was first thinking of getting an '02 WRX last year, I was looking into Schaumburg because they are closest to me. But, I found some not-so-good feedback about the way they deal and their service dept. Any info on them?
Thanks for the help by the way...

Schaumburg
Yes, I found that their service takes forever. I think their garage might be to small. But while were talking about service dept. Gerald takes the cake, last time I went in for a oil change I decided I'd wait. Sure enough 5 mins later I could here my Blitz pipes crying as one of the techs continually reved her up. I 2 seconds from getting up when luckily for them they stopped. Any how I've never seen anything like that before, and never will again, their at least.

Think I'll stick with Dan Wolf...
I think I'll go with Dan Wolf for deposit/purchase. It'll just be tough to drive down that far south for service. Any other good dealerships further north, or in the western burbs, that you've experienced?
Gerald will NOT be on my list; thanks.

last firday i had my car a 2003 wrx in for some service at dan wolf. my STI side skirts and front spoiler had come in. i orderd them when i purghased the car from Dan Wolf. the parts took a week to come in, less time than they told me, but i could not fit it in my scedual until then. i made my apointment and took my car in in the morning. they called me three hours later and told me the car was done. the service department was friendly and kept me informed on time. once again nothing but good things to say about them. STIsercher if you go there ask for joe Zyed and tell him samir reffered you, he is not the smartest guy, but he worked a good deal for me. i dont know where you live but the dealer ship is only 20 min. from the loop.

I tried calling yesterday and Joe wasn't in. I asked another sales guy and he seemed cool too. He didn't ask for my info like most other hack dealerships do. He just answered my questions as best he could, and left it at that. I do like that, A TON. So, I'll hopefully give Joe a call today and see what else he can tell me and maybe start setting things up, ;-).
So, it's only 20 min.'s from the loop? I thought Countryside was further south than that, near Joliet? But either way, if they're good, it'll be worth it. Thanks for the help everyone.

good luck. keep in mind that Joe may not know too much about the STI, as he is new there, but when it comes to making deals he works for you.
Countryside is near I55 and Lagrange rd. the dealer is about 1 mile from this intersection.
