Car clubs compared to I-CLUB
I have wondered for awhile, are there any car clubs that compare to I-club?
The subaru community is the closest car community i have ever seen.
Does anyone else know of any communities that are as strong as us? we go on drives, have countless meets, and all sorts of stuff!
there are too many civics to have meets and any other cars people are enthusiastic about suck so i just wanna know if there is anything else like this besides little local car clubs around that i have seen.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN any clubs that go on drives as hardcore as the ones we partake in, and i havent personally seen any meets bigger or as continuous as UCKK
so i just wanted to hear about anything that can come NEAR us.
looking forward to your feedback, excuse the bad grahamer i am drunk.

I've been a member of a few online forums. First was a forum for my 91 Integra, then my 98 240sx.
The Integra forum is cool. Quite a few ricers but a lot of cool people. I've met a few people in the Sacramento area that are from that forum, and they're really nice people, but for some reason we've never been able to become the type of friends that hang out all the time.
The 240 forums SUCKED. I met one nice guy from there on a night where I tried to organize a meet at Sac Raceway. He was the only guy who showed up, but he was pretty young, like 17 or just turned 18. He was cool but lived a couple hours away and wouldn't really be the type of person I'd hang out with.
This forum, and NASIOC and another one affiliated with COBB, are excellent. I love the people on these forums and I've made some really great and lasting friends in BAIC. I've yet to see another forum that not only had organized drives and events, but also had the friendship and comradere that the Subaru forums seem to have. I love i-club

i love i-club, people on nasioc seem a little tooo mean, even though i know many members are dual members. so for those who recognize me on this forum or even know me lets keep i-club going. plus i mean who has cooler boss than Alex ( hehe lol). and he is russian (sneaky one in fact).
i think the supra community is pretty strong since they have the annual (famous) supra meet in vegas.

My previous car was a 91 Supercharged SHO. I used to be in the SHO forums and we had a pretty tight and friendly community. Mostly older members who are really knowledgeable at what they do. We always had SHO conventions and one big yearly SHO meet in Chicago where everyone from the West to the East coasts meet up for a weekend. Damn I miss that car.

you get old schoolers in with the new. plus their meets are pretty tight, and they have more state-wide and national events (but with 50+ years going as a company it kind of makes sense... esp with the long-term popularity of the vw)

i use to frequent clubsi but we all know how they are...
now the only car forum i visit as often as iclub is g35driver, and clubg35. the people on there are cool, but it seems that there aren't enough of us in the sf bay area to put together a meet.

the mountain states section of clubWRX.net is very cool. everybody on there is extremely nice and knowledgeable. they have meets almost every week, and are always willing to lend a hand.

I am very sneaky.
I am glad that generally speaking people are happy over here.
There are few clubs that I look up to in terms of what they are today. I take lessons from my mistakes (I have been involved in "running" sites like this since 1997). I listen to members and adjust everything accordingly.
Here is the list of rules I have for myself.
1. I don't look at members as "numbers".
2. I don't care for useless traffic regardless of its size.
3. I listen to what members say and want.
4. I make changes to club "managing" based on the opinion of the majority and not the whining of the few (even if they are friends)
5. I will not sell out.
6. I will not get my personal views get in the way of the club.
7. I don't shut people up and let them say what they want. (excluding profanity)
8. No banning.
9. No flaming.
10. Don't let brucelee post oiled up pics of himself.
11. I don't force my opinion down anyones throat.
12. Keep censorship to a minimum. (only profanity, all caps, etc)
