buyer beware: Weapon-R operations
I always praised for the company Weapon-R since they are from the city where I used to live in (San Francisco). They made great intakes for the Integras (five years ago), but all my love for them has gone completely off into the New York sewers (metaphorically speaking) after I decided to buy from this company recently. I feel that I am already doing too much in writing this warning to you all, in comparing how minimal they care about customer relations or further to say their lack of business integrity. These guys are incompetant manufacturers, researchers, and total raving jerks when asking them for technical suggestions having dealt with them at their main offices first hand. Besides the fact that these 'DRAGON FILTERS' will damage up our throttle bodies due to the coarse sponge architecture, and also recalled a year ago. But for some reason the bad filters are still vendored by third-party dealers and funny to say the recommended internet dealers are actually colleagues with the mother company itself, just with a different domain name. I am currently still waiting for this stupid intake to be processed and it has already been three weeks in 'process' and not even shipped. I have emailed the sales vendor seven times in seperate days and have only one reply from them after two weeks stating "sorry we are out of the color you wanted, how about another color, please reply asap" Why didnt YOU replay ASAP when I emailed you so many times and days ago? I replied to them accordingly and said fine, give me Red instead of polished, I need this intake shipped soon (not to mention the fourth time saying so by now)... many days have past and now I still am waiting to see if they have actually processed and shipped this order. With no actual contact numbers and names for their internet distributors (which I strongly think is closely related to the company itself by their email domain weapontec.com duhhh!), it seems like these people choose to do business only if they feel like working that day or not and have no ethics whatsoever in the handling of customer care, how hard is it to reply with just a line of words? I am now stuck with a bill of 200+ dollars and about to deny their charges, all because I thought that their intake system is about $20 cheaper than any other Subaru intake application but who knew it was this much of a hassle? Over all this time of wait, I have already long ordered other parts all the way from Japan shipped to New Jersey, and reshipped again to Los Angeles while in the mean time, these Weapon-R guys still havent replied to my asking of "Hi, I am emailing to see if my order has been shipped yet?" Who would of guessed the hardest thing in ordering ten plus different turbo parts application from all across the nation such as Ceramic coats for up-pipes, downpipes from Mississippi, rebuilding a turbo from Texas, electronics from Florida, custom 3 inch turbo exhaust, oil pan from Washington, hoses, oil cooler, injectors abd 22b brakes from Japan that the PITA would be a measly intake... especially when these people are from the same state where I live! Does "have stock, ships in 3-5 days" really mean 3-5 months?
I have never in my life of spending tens of thousands in performance parts ever experienced such unworthy approaches in automotive aftermarketing further carrying the bad aspects of "AFTERMARKET". Yeah, you may get your intake in time... depending on how lucky you are, but as to the quantity of how much they actually stockpile I highly doubt is in the two digits. This group is a total disgrace and failure particularly when it comes to their selection in choosing their e-vendors and providing customer compliance. IMHO, The best protoge of what NOT to do when I start my own automotive aftermarket performance firm. ...It's OK if their products are not the best, but leaving people in the dark when they're handing your hard earned money is a complete shame. My suggestion to you all is to NEVER EVER buy from a vendor without a real name, location of establisment, and a voice contact number. I have missed my deadline in completing this turbo project of mine because of a ridiculous tube, will you?
Complacent but pissed,
Dood...
