NOT recommended....but better to ask first, rather than find out the hard way.

Yep. The RS tranny isn't as weak as some people will try to tell you, but it's far from indestructable. Clutch dumps and powershifting are no-nos.

I may be coming into this a little late but I will say this about AWD burnouts.. NO NO NO NO!!! I own a 2000 rs and I had a DD one night while out to the club. Since the guy was so nice as to drive I let him drive my baby.. WHOOPS! He thought because it was loud that it was fast.. he tried a burn out in it and Monday morning it was on a wrecker and headed to the dealership for a new tranny and clutch. You CAN however remove the AWD relay under the hood and that would allow for some burn outs but you would be losing the only reason you would buy a Subie... for the AWD.
Just a suggestion though, I know it has been done before!
