I tried to go for the sleeper look but i couldnt help but do some exterior mods . . . (painted sideskirts, cleared headlights, new signal bulbs) plus it'll be kinda hard to keep they noise level down if you plan on running 12s

As far as that goes, all I care about is keeping the cops away. By that I mean, keep my car legal on the outside, run all the plates, legal tint, dual tip exhaust, working lights, etc.

i was going for the sleeper look. you'd be surprised what 8" wide 17's with some good tires will do for handling on the stock suspension

I like sleepers, but I also like a bit of lowering (~1.5" not slammed) and the right wheels (17" or so) . . . but those kind of mods really wouldn't give anything away either . . .

well originally the sleeper was to make a car look semi stock, dropped and maybe some rims... I mean thats what I did with my turbo civic...well until it got stolen.... But the "sleeper look" is almost the wrong look to go by if you want people to think your slow. How many times have you gone to the runs and lined up against a car that look stock and thought "damn that car has got to be fast" because I know thats happened to me in the past cause If you really want the "sleeper look" buy an outragous wing and crazy weird fast and furious body kit. Then people will think your slow....hahah

Oh yeah one other thing...Some kits are functional like my chargespeed kit for example on my 04 suby it was designed to create more downforce at the same time enhancing the body lines of my suby....So yeah in the end what truly is the "sleeper look"?

yup

at first i will keep it stock until i pay off the engine mods, which will be a while, but sleeper look is good enough.

problem with complete stock look is that stock tires are weak. 16 inch wheels with better tires are probably the best thing for drag racing.
