Advice on first mod/and 18inch wheels
Ok all, I need some advice on a first mod on my 03 wrx. Also since I dont have a huge budget, I have to try and get the biggest bang for a few bucks (budget=$500) I'm looking to get some more horsepower down to the wheels, so would installing a downpipe and pulley's be a good place to start. Can I use the downpipe with the stock exhaust? I'm not looking to build no 1/4 mile racer, I want to DRIVE the car on those long winding roads(fun factor=10!!!) so I'm looking to improve it's everyday performance without compromising it's reliabilty. Also if anyone is rolling on 18's, what are some of the drawbacks of running 18's and do they rub against the wheel well and what is the widest I can get without to much problems (18x7.5,18x8.5,18x9.5)

Option A: Falken Azeni's for the stock wheels: ~$500
Option B: MBC and boost gauge: $100
Uppipe: $150
Rear sway bar: $150
Endlinks: $100
If you want to build a canyon carver, I would start with the tires. You already have decent power stock, but you're severely limited by the tires. If you're already getting 18's with decent rubber, you can go with Option B.
