not really. the up-pipe is a good idea, the intake is a so-so idea, and the ebc is a not good idea. for what the ebc costs you could get a reflash which will give you more comprehensive engine management and better driveability than just boost control. if you do a search on "cold air intake" or "intake debate" or just look at teh sticky's in the WRX Powerplant section you'll get some good reading material on that.

you need a boost gauge. Does the EBC have one built in?

spend some time searching this site and reading this forum and the WRX Powerplant forum before you go cranking up the boost. another good reference is here... http://www.spdusa.com/stock_engine_mods.htm

also, since your car is an '04, it responds even worse to boost control mods. best bet, install the up-pipe and wait (and save $$) until reflashes are available for an '04.

whoa, definatley do not put on an EBC without at least a boost gauge. Uppipe is a good first nod.

yes, but price of EBC + price of AFC or equivalent = much more than reflash or piggyback.
