Looks like that info is almost a year old, and it still has the 06/07 grille. So I doubt that's going to be what the STi looks like. I think I read somewhere (can't remember if it was edmunds.com or one of the sites in this thread) that as of now, the 4-door will only be available in North America. If that's true, then the STi will definitely be the hatch. Will be interesting to see for sure...

I think the 07 production might stop very soon! I saw the 08 pictures on friday and went car shopping on saturday. Bought my WRX limited on monday. I wouldnt wait to find out the last day. One dealerships tried to sell me a limited for mid-30k. I laughed and walked out. It seems like the 07's are gonna sell twice as fast now that the 08's are out. 06-07 look crazy-good in person and like ferraris compared to the 08's IMO.

Not hardly.

And the 08s aren't hitting the lots until August/September. Besides, the 08 is most likely going to outperform your new 07 anyway.

If they do, then it won't be by much. And it certainly won't be enough to offset the ugliness factor of the 2008.

I'll take slightly less power with better looks anyday. That's why they sell mods. Every WRX has had improvements across the years, that doesn't mean that the bugeyes and 04-05's arent great cars. 275HP/TQ stock wouldnt get me to buy the 08.

Anyone have any idea if the plastic intake manifold in the 08s (ala legacy gt) will fit on any previous model wrx's?

Hi, all. Road and Track has some relatively convincing photo-illustrations of a hatchback versdion of the STI.

Heres a link to the article if you haven't seen it yet. Enjoy.

The new evo doesn't look fantastic but definately beats what subaru developed. The STI in that pic has a Focus-like egg shape but sadly this beats their wagon and sedan design. All I can say is an emphatic W O W.. I cannot believe Subaru is throwing away what it was able to capture when they introduced the 02 wrx to America--their fan base!

I'd really like to know where they got those STI drawings. It doesn't seem right since the tail lights are now red and the chrome bar in back is either black or smoked. I think it just might be an outside artist's rendering.

... +1 for the fender flars and larger front vent

I think the STI in the R&T article actually looks better than the evo. But, I would'nt pay 35g's for one. Hatchbacks should'nt go over 30k.

That's pretty arbitrary. Why not?
