I think that Subaru is really starting to screw up the look of the WRX. the 02-03 model has the best look. The 04-07 went slightly downhill, but this new 08 looks like a wimp, and whats with the 5 door option ?? Thats so unappealing if you ask me.. Does anyone agree with me???
I felt the same with the 08 hatch but its growing on me every time I see it. I can't stand the 4 door though, looks like a saturn from the side and rear view. IMO 04-05 fronts look ok compared to the 02/03 and 06/07.

I disagree.
I love the 04-07 body style and looks but I'm biased though.
The looks of the new 2008 are actually starting to grow on me too.
I think the interior looks sharp though.
Everyone I talk to that actually has an 2008 really like their cars
and said that they never had a mechanical problem ethier.
After hearing great reviews about the new 2008 Subarus it makes
me want to purchase one.

2008 Owner
As a 2008 owner I have to say I was quite impressed when I walked into the dealership - I didn't even know that the car I thought was so sick looking was the new Impreza, I imediately asked the dealer how much was the car as is on the show room floor - I believe they had had an Impreza that was optioned out, only thing it was a 5spd - I asked for automatic...
All in all I love my car - I beat up on a CLK350 and maximas/accords/camrys are a joke in my eyes and I'm talking new 268hp camry and new 265hp tiptronic maximas and new 268hp accords, I like running my fren with his 335i - now that car has some ***** on it, I'd like to see how I fair against him once my SPT exhaust is on along with a boost raise.

Originally I thought the new ones were ugly... disproportioned. And one day I went out looking for a used one. All the ones I found either had 100k miles on 'em, or were beat to crap. So I decided to drive a new one for comparison.
Well, that was the mistake. It was so nice, I bought it! I absolutely LOVE the car. Best ride/handling of any stock car I've ever owned (cars which include a 98 Z28, 86 Corvette, 89 Prelude, 87 Integra, 88 XT6, etc). It's quick, comfy, roomy, etc.
