That thing that is the B9X spells doom as far as looks go.

Exactly my thoughts - looks like an Aztec & Lexus RX300 had a one night stand and the Aztec got pregnant and that's the result !
nasty !

The BMW "moustache" (that's what the Germans call it!) and the Ponitiac "smile" are both characteristic looks, as is the Jaguar grille; Subaru adopting their own look is clearly their way of drawing a line between themselves and the other Japanese auto lines such as Honda and Toyota, neither of which have ever settled on a distinctive "look." What I find so interesting about the new designs (including the BX9) is how much of the old style they are keeping, including the mid-door "crease" lines and the high rear end, as well as the thick mirror pillars.

I don't mind the BX9's look, really; when you compare it to the other cars in the category, it looks about the same; certainly it is no uglier than a BMW X3 or X5, which is clearly the market they are shooting for. I don't see much Lexus in it at all.

I think it looks sharp. I still like the looks of my Evo better though!

Evo IX is hot hot hot! I wish I had waited!

I'll be picking up the current model. The new Subie front ends make me puke.

How long..

Before the current 04/05 body style is retired, and Subaru comes out with that ugly photochop job I've been seeing for the upcoming Impreza WRX

Is that even certain, that the car will look like the pictures roaming around on the internet?

I like the 04+ body, and I want to buy the STi before it gets uglified like the Evo X
