in this months issue of SCC (sport compact car) they said the wrx gets there in 5.2....is this true?

 

yeah, but the 1/4 mile sucks a$$. it does the 1/4 in 14.6sec

 

is the 0-60 improvment because of the new more aerodynamic body? the 1/4 used to be like 14.2 right?

 

the 1/4 varies from low 14s to mid 14s and same goes for 0-60

 

well for 01-03 i believe most magazines tested 5.7+ o-60 times, except car and driver(they sidestepped)

 

try that 0-60 in 5.2 more than a few times and your trans and or clutch will be gone. sports car magazines pound on those test cars, and in some cases break them, I wouldnt use their numbers as a base for anything, those guys are professional drivers and arent taking the car home at night, or using it as an everyday driver.

 

thats true...i know car and driver does...but some magazines have noticably higher times than others so im sure their times are closer to reality
