Thats way to much money. You would be crazy to buy it.

By the way, can I have the phone number of the person selling it? You know, to scold him for taking advantage of you like this.

No, you don't have to take his word for it. Is he a known member on this board?

If something about the deal doesn't sound right, I suggest passing and going with either someone local or a known vendor who can ship the order.

Ive seen them go for less, ive also seen them go for alot more. The best deals are always when either a) you know the seller and its a hook up type deal or b) the seller doesnt know anything and has the price way too low

Considering that you can play $1000 for an intercooler alone (new) and $500 for a used turbo, $1000 for a complete engine sounds too low to me -- you're liable to get it installed and find that cylinder 3 is warped, you are leaking oil from your rings and your head gasket is shot because someone BURNED that engine at the track. Seriously, people pay $450 for just fuel rails, you can't expect to get an engine in decent shape for that price. JDM crate EJ20s are in the $3500+ range and STI engines are $8500.
