Why are there no STi's in New England?

I paid 3k over MSRP. I can justify it just 'cause I'm an impulsive buyer. Steve had the Silver I wanted with all options except CF Trim Kit. Since my last check engine light went off, it happened again. This time the problem was caused by the turbo blowing a vacume hose off. (Hidden in down near the alternator). I brought it in this AM and had it back by 10:30. The service is great. They are also on a learning curve with the new Sti. They did put a better hose and clamps on.

I don't think Van Bortel got theirs yet...although I could be wrong. I usually am...
Janq, still haven't gone down to test drive, and if I'm smart i WON'T bring the checkbook.

I saw two in the lot for IRA Subaru on 114 in Peabody, MA.
I spoke for a while with the sales manager, and he said that they have had 11 STis come through their lots (that was a week or two ago). The two I saw were a blue w/silver that was sold and a silver w/silver that was 1k over MSRP (probably so that they have some bargaining room to get down tom MSRP).
Oh and so no one gets confused, they moved! It went from next to Toyota down to the old Mazda building across from Lexus. He said there would be test drives coming end of July.

In Virginia Beach, the STI's are going for 34-37k. I found one on ebay in CT for 32k and bought it. Picking it up in a couple weeks. New England must not have the demand.
BTW, check out my 99 RS for $7,000 with very nice mods. If it doesn't sell, then I'm trading (for only 5k) when I pick the STI up in CT. Thank-you New England.

You are the first STi owner I've heard of to actually do the conversion.
How hard/easy was it to convert and how much time did it take?
Did you keep the hood stock?

yes i kept the hood stock and i didnt do it i brought it to a preformance garage and they put it in because i didnt want to mess with it because u kno how the stock intercooler is in the back of the engine bay thats empity and its just i think 2-3 hoses runnin from the front intercooler the front intercooler to the engine
