Why are there no STi's in New England?
I am tired of hearing people all over the U.S. getting them. I have yet so see/hear of anyone in CT, MA, VT, NH, ME taking delivery...
what gives?
someone please tell me it's just me...

They're here JoeMama. I was checking out the Evos at Crabtree Mitsu in Shelton (just hadn't been too close to one yet) on Saturday, the 14th when a Mitsu salesman told me there was one 2 doors down, at Crabtree Subaru. I didn't believe it (denial) but went to check. Silver/silver tucked away into the far recesses of the garage. Couldn't sit in it but got close enough to whet my appetite. They were asking 5k over MSRP and said that was an order from the general manager of the dealership - and that they weren't budging. I laughed and left. FWIW my dealer (Secor in New London - GREAT PEOPLE) got one Friday afternoon and is expecting 2nd allocation (MY black/silver) around this date in July.
just picked mine up last night at Patrick in Shrewsbury, MA, black w/ silver @ MSRP! it was the second one they had delivered that week and had a silver w/ silver sitting on the showroom floor, not sure if it was accounted for? the first 80 miles have been awesome!! very difficult to keep under 4k rpms!! took one quick corner going to the off ramp, thing was on rails...I though my 2.5 RS handled well...no comparison!

picked up my silver/silver Sti Thursday at Steve Lewis in Northampton, MA. Have the same problem behaving during the 1000 mile break-in. Had one initial glitch; seems that whenever the check engine light comes on the cruise control is disabled and that light flashes. Dealership had neglected to tighten the fuel cap properly when filling and this caused the check engine light to come on on day two. This in conjunction with the flashing cruise light was disconcerting. Who needs cruise control on this anyway. Now that I know there's no real engine problem I can't wait to test the cars limits.

Justrev,
I was in the 'Happy Valley' just a month ago visiting family (I used to live in NoHo above the 'Haymarket' & 'Andy Adams Jewelers') and spoke with the sales manager at Steve Lewis about allocations and the STi.
I wonder, how much did you end up paying for your STi?

Are there any other Vermonters on this board? FYI - I saw my first STi going down Shelburne Rd in Burlington tonight. The hood scoop was a little smaller than I thought, and the wing was a little bigger. And I thought it was pretty freakin' big to begin with...

Ok, I talked to Dan PErkins. THey are just getting what Subaru N.E. gives them, so I have to wait for a specific color, but I am headed down there to test drive the blue one out front...can't wait!
